Company Martifer Solar, part of Portuguese group Martifer, has finished the construction of two photovoltaic parks in Romania. The two solar parks are located in Halchiu (Brasov County) and Magurele, near capital Bucharest.
The owner of the two projects, which have an installed capacity of 5.4 megawatts, is firm Eurowind Energy, Martifer Solar said in a press release Thursday. The Halchiu-based solar park has an installed capacity of 2.03 megawatts and that in Magurele has a capacity of 3.38 megawatts. They will generate 7 GWh of electricity
Martifer Solar Romania completed its first solar project for Eurowind Energy in 2012. The solar park is located in Pufesti, Vrancea County, and has an installed capacity of 1.5 megawatts. Eurowind Energy A/S invests in photovoltaic and wind projects in Europe. Its main markets are Denmark, Germany, Romania and Poland. Currently, Romania has solar parks with an installed capacity of about 500 megawatts.
