Solar Open Day 2025

RPIA organized the third edition of Solar Open Day together with PPC Renewables Romania, welcoming over 150 representatives from the renewable energy industry, public authorities, academia, media, and local communities.
Hosted at the 63 MW Lumina Photovoltaic Park, the event offered participants the opportunity to explore one of Romania’s largest photovoltaic projects and learn more about its development, operation, and impact on the surrounding community. Under the theme “Clean Energy, Double Impact for Communities”, discussions focused on the role of solar projects in creating value beyond electricity generation, through local initiatives, biodiversity, and community engagement.
Alongside technical presentations and site visits, participants also discovered biodiversity initiatives integrated into the project, including beekeeping activities, illustrating how solar developments can successfully coexist with the natural environment.
