The Green Financing workshop was organized by RPIA – Romanian Photovoltaic Industry Association, in collaboration with Romanian Wind Energy Association (RWEA), and backed up by BCR. The workshop presented an overview of the main financing options and the major programs aiming to facilitate the expansion of renewable projects in Romania.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, the Competition Council, together with the banking sector, members of the Board of Directors of RPIA and RWEA, and the press.
Main highlights of the Workshop:

- The implementation of CFDs is expected to commence this summer, and to have the first round closed by the end of October for 1,5 GW of PV and wind.
- The Modernization Fund for production of energy from renewable sources to start this year (2023).
- Lesson learned from the first calls to be implemented at the level of project evaluation and implementation.

- The speed of administrative procedures needs to be accelerated.
- The legislation requires more predictability and investments in the transmission grid are highly needed.
- The blockage related to the removal of the lands from agricultural circuit must be removed in order to secure the success of funds disbursement.
