Advancing Europe’s Solar Manufacturing: EMPOWER General Assembly in Vilnius
RPIA took part in the 3rd General Assembly of the EMPOWER Horizon Europe Project, hosted in Vilnius, Lithuania by the Applied Research Institute for Prospective Technologies (ProTech) and Metsolar.
The meeting brought together project partners from across Europe to review the progress achieved so far, coordinate the next stages of implementation, and discuss recent developments across the photovoltaic manufacturing value chain.
Funded under the Horizon Europe programme, EMPOWER aims to advance innovative technologies for the production of silicon wafers, solar cells, and photovoltaic modules, contributing to a stronger, more competitive, and resilient European solar manufacturing industry.
As a consortium partner, RPIA contributes to the project’s policy, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination activities, supporting the uptake of innovative photovoltaic manufacturing technologies.
The programme also included visits to local manufacturing facilities, offering participants a closer look at the technologies and production processes shaping Europe’s photovoltaic industry.
